The eagle has landed
The highlight of our vacation: an eagle landed on a rock near the shore about 20 yards from where we were sitting. It was so calm it let me get within 10 yards of it to take pictures and we watched it for almost 90 minutes.

For the past couple of springs, our backyard has played host to a pair of Hungarian Partridges.
